     Newell A. Holcomb was born on 15 August 1819 at (probably) Isle La Mott, Grand Isle County, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Jonathan Holcomb and Electa Clark.1 Newell A. Holcomb married Louisa Kellog on 9 July 1845.3 Newell A. Holcomb married Nancy Cressy on 12 May 1850.3 Newell A. Holcomb married Sarah Montgomery on 4 July 1871.3 Newell A. Holcomb died on 3 April 1902 at Nora, Jo Daviess County, Illinois, at age 82. He was buried at Elizabeth Cemetery, Elizabeth, Jo Daviess County, Illinois.
