     Simon A. Sisley was born on 15 October 1862 at Iowa.1,2,3 He was the son of John Sisley and Olive Melissa Woodward. Simon A. Sisley appeared on the 1870 Federal Census of Woodman, Grant County, Wisconsin, in the household of his mother Olive Melissa Woodward.4 Simon A. Sisley appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Lima, Grant County, Wisconsin in the household of his mother Olive.5 Simon A. Sisley married Ella May McCord on 24 December 1884 at Grant County, Wisconsin.6 Simon A. Sisley was murdered by Ambrose Chaffee who was married to Simon's half sister Anna Mary on 19 January 1904 at Meade County, South Dakota, at age 41.1
