     Salome Burgess was born on 23 August 1816 at Maine.2,3 She was the daughter of Seth Burgess and Virtue Dicker.1 Salome Burgess married Gardner Lovejoy, son of Jacob Lovejoy and Mehitable Wing, say 1841.4 Salome Lovejoy (Burgess) and Gardner appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Peru, Oxford County, Maine, in the household of her parents Seth and Virtue Dicker.5 Salome Burgess died on 11 July 1862 at age 45.3
