     Lydia Augusta Holcomb was born on 18 September 1822 at (probably) Alburgh, Grand Isle County, Vermont.3,4,5,2 She was the daughter of Jonathan Holcomb and Electa Clark.2 Lydia Augusta Holcomb married Lorenzo Danforth Hopkins, son of Nathaniel Hopkins and Lemira Flint, on 20 July 1845 at New York.6 Lydia and Lorenzo appeared on the 1850 Federal Census, of Lawrence, St. Lawrence County, New York, enumerated 9 August 1850. Their children Newell Henry and Nathaniel Orville were listed as living with them.7 Lydia and Lorenzo appeared on the 1870 Federal Census, of Seneca Township, Crawford County, Wisconsin, enumerated 5 July 1870. Their children Martha Louisa and Eldora Medina were listed as living with them.8 Lydia and Lorenzo appeared on the 1880 Federal Census of Seneca, Crawford County, Wisconsin, enumerated 21 June 1880.9 Lydia Augusta Holcomb died on 14 January 1884 at Lansing, Allamakea County, Iowa, at age 61.10 She was buried at Dickson Hill Cemetery, Lynxville, Crawford County, Wisconsin.11
