     Reverend Daniel Gookin was born on 12 July 1650 at Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Gookin and Mary Dolling.1 Daniel was first a fellow at Harvard College, but encouraged by his father, he entered the ministry and became a missionary to the Indians.1 Reverend Daniel Gookin married Elizabeth Quincy, daughter of Edmund Quincy and Joanna Hoar, on 4 October 1682.1 Reverend Daniel Gookin married Bethia Collicot on 21 July 1692.3,4 Reverend Daniel Gookin died on 8 January 1717/18 at Sherborn, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, at age 67.1
