Vol. 3 [NYE] "BENJAMIN, Lynn, rem. to Sandwich 1637, where he was progenit. of a very numer. line, yet of a single s. only, Jonathan, b. 20 Nov. 1669, is the date of b. kn. and of Mary, 8 Apr. 1652." Mary's birth date is probably wrong in this source. Savage probably confuses Mary with her sister Mercy.

- [S264] Compilers Note: The 1660 marriage date has been disputed by several researchers. Many accept that the first child born to the couple was Samuel in 1671 leaving an 11 year gap between the marriage date and the first record of a child born to the couple. This has led them to conclude that the date was incorrect and should be 1670. I have adopted the later date as the more likely but note that it is not the only possibility.
