     William Mack Litchfield was born on 11 April 1838 at Springfield, Windsor County, Vermont.1,2 He was the son of Daniel Litchfield and Luthera Estabrook. William Mack Litchfield appeared on the 1850 Federal Census of Troy, Orleans County, Vermont, in the household of his parents Daniel and Luthera.3 William Mack Litchfield married Sarah (--?--). William and Sarah appeared on the 1870 Federal Census, of Kilbourn City (now Wisconsin Dells), Columbia County, Wisconsin, enumerated 6 June 1870. Their children Charles and Ada were listed as living with them, also enummerated in the household was David Bell whose relationship to the family is unknown.4 William Mack Litchfield died on 26 November 1922 at Winona, Winona County, Minnesota, at age 84. He was buried on 30 November 1922 at Evergreen Cemetery, Praire du Chien, Crawford County, Wisconsin.
