     Daniel Hayes was born on 26 April 1686 at Windsor, Hartford County, Connecticut.4,2 He was the son of George Hayes and Abigail Dibble.2,3 In 1707/08, Daniel was taken prisoner by the Indians and held captive in Canada for five years.5,3 Daniel Hayes married Martha Holcomb, daughter of Nathaniel Holcomb and Martha Buell, on 1 March 1716 at Simsbury, Hartford County, Connecticut.6 Daniel Hayes was admitted as Freeman in October 1717.6 He married second Sarah Lee, daughter of John Lee and Elizabeth Crampton, on 4 May 1721 at Simsbury.7,6 Daniel Hayes married Mary (--?--) about 1739.6 Daniel Hayes died on 23 September 1756 at Granby, Hartford County, Connecticut, at age 70.7 He was buried at Salmon Brook Cemetery, Granby, Hartford County, Connecticut.6
