He married Susanna Catharina Hertzel, daughter of Hans Georg Hertzel and Catharina Schmetzer, about 1768 at Pennsylvania.2 George Deerhamer appeared on the 1790 Federal Census of Nazareth Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Enumerated in the household were 1 free white male over 16, 5 free white males under 16 and 1 free white female.6 He appeared on the 1800 Federal Census of Nazareth Township. Enumerated in the household were 2 males 0-10, 1 male 10-16, 1 male over 45 and1 female over 45.7

Research Note: A Jacob Derhammer was listed on the 1800 census with one male 16-26 and one female 16-26 in the household. This may have been another son and his wife (probably the Jacob Derhamer who married Catharine Elizabeth Hartzell). The gap between 1770 and 1776 is a likely spot for another child.7

He died in July 1803 at Northampton County, Pennsylvania.2,8,9 He was buried on 20 July 1803 at Dryland Cemetery, Northampton County, Pennsylvania.2,10,9
