     Amos Parks was born on 10 January 1738/39 at (probably) Preston, New London County, Connecticut.3,2 He was the son of Josiah Parks and Sarah Benjamin.1,2 Amos Parks married Grace Herrick, daughter of Edward Herrick and Margaret Avery Childs, about 1760. Amos Parks appeared on the 1800 Federal Census of Salem Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, enumerated 1800.4 He left a will on 24 September 1804 at Salem Township.5 He died on 2 October 1804 at Salem, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, at age 65.3,2
