Chloe Dearhamer, 93 of Bruce passed away Thursday, May 15, at the Ladysmith Nursing Home.
She was born July 19 1886, at Platteville, Wis., the daughter of Charles and Cassie Weller. She was united in marriage to Charles Dearhamer, a Spanish American War veteran, at Oelwein, Iowa. They resided there until 1917 when they purchased a farm northwest of Bruce.
She was a member of the Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce and had been very active in local organizations and politics.
She is survived by two sons, Lloyd and Ralph Dearhamer of Bruce; two daughters, Doris Copsey and Mavis Case of Bruce; 16 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theora, in 1910; a son Charles Jr., in 1943 and her husband, Charles Sr., in 1946; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 19, at the Nathaniel Lutheran Church in Bruce under the direction of Springer's Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Sturgis officiated with burial in the Bruce Cemetery.
