1: Martha Hall - this was the first time I saw her referred to as Mattie. Since she had married Tom Hall in Omaha the previous November, it seems likely she was visiting her children at the time of this census. It is also probable that at least one of her children returned to Omaha with her since Lyda meet John Clough there later in the summer of 1900. They were married at Wagner, SD the next year.
2: Born Lydia, she preferred to be called Lyda
3: Martha's mother was Lydia Holcomb. The International Genealogical Index gives her birth place as Vermont.
